Coastal cities are under threat from ‘rapidly increasing high tide floods’ which could occur in clusters lasting a month or more, say scientists.
@Antoniojssmith tweeted: “This why the rich prepping to go to space. It’s all starting to make sense.”
@Zackklapman added: “Sure, but that's just what scientists – people who are trained in this particular field – think. What do the paid pundits think?”
@Markusbryant asked: “So like…are we preparing for this at any point? Advances in flood resistance, better storm water systems?”
@johnecto wrote: “So what are saying? The Moon has always had a ‘wobble’ and is extending its orbit annually. How can you possibly forecast what will happen based on your data? You can’t even predict weather without politics getting in the way”
@Rahcel5 said: “My sense here is that the moons pull and push might create bigger waves? Have you correlated Earth’s Magnetic fields and solar flares into the equation?”
@Tadarlis replied: “Not bigger waves, but higher tides. Tides are caused almost entirely by the moon's gravitational pull." @chalackd wrote: “Every 5 years or so we're told that we're in for certain doom in another 10 to 12 years. Every time so far, none of the doom and gloom predictions have materialised, despite constantly being told that we haven't fixed anything. Grow up and see these lies for what they are."
