Bruce-gardyne to bring touch of Genius to industry body
● Founder of Genius Foods, Lucinda Bruce-gardyne, has been appointed as the new chair for industry leadership body, Scotland Food & Drink.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the industry as a chef, teacher, entrepreneur and board director, Lucinda takes over from Dennis Overton who has held the role since 2018 and is scheduled to stand down in November. Bruce-gardyne said: “The industry is facing seismic change in transitioning to net zero and adapting to a post-pandemic and post-brexit world. Arguably the work of the organisation has never been more important, and I look forward to playing my part.” Strategic real estate advisor Avison Young is expanding its Land & Development team in Scotland with the appointment of new Associate Director Deborah Bruce.
Bruce joins Avison Young from the City of Edinburgh Council, where she gained development, valuation and transactional experience in and around Scotland’s capital city.
She has a particular focus on residential and mixed-use developments, viability appraisals and consultancy and will work closely with Avison Young’s established agency and planning teams in Scotland. “It’s great to be joining the Land & Development team at Avison Young at a time of such universal change in the way we live, work, learn and enjoy ourselves. I am looking forward to helping our clients transform their assets in the most sustainable and economically beneficial way creating real value for them in the process,” Bruce said
Lara Moloney has been appointed as the Head of the Scotland 5G Centre’s S5GConnect Programme – a Scottish Government funded initiative supporting the establishment of a network of regional urban and rural hubs across Scotland.
Her main role is to oversee the growth and development of the hubs and facilitate effective relationships with key partners and stakeholders. Moloney said: “I am thrilled to be joining the S5GC team and to be supporting Scotland’s ambitions around connectivity, innovation and 5G. It is an exciting time for the industry to understand the benefits of 5G and how it can transform their business to support increased cost savings, efficiencies and to be increasingly competitive.”
