James (Jim) Alexander

After a short illness, Jim passed away peacefully, on Monday, October 4, 2021, at the Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh. Loving husband of Sarah (Sadie), father of Douglas, brother of Margaret and friend and mentor to many. Funeral service to be held at Warriston Crematorium, Lorimer Chapel, on Tuesday, October 19, at 12 noon, followed by a celebration and thanksgiving for Jim’s life at St Stephen’s Comely Bank Church, at 1 pm. All are welcome to both services.

Family flowers only please, but donations, if desired, may be made to Poppy Scotland.

(Melrose, formerly Lockerbie) Suddenly but peacefully, at Borders General Hospital, on Sunday, October 3, 2021, Rev James, aged 89 years. Dear brother of the late Nina and Margaret and a dear uncle, great-uncle and great-great-uncle, much loved and sadly missed by all his family. Funeral service at Bowden Kirk, on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 12.45 pm, followed by cremation at Borders Crematorium, at 2 pm, to which all friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please, but donations, if desired, will be received on retiring from service for Scottish Borders versus Arthritis.

Peacefully, on September 14, 2021, at Lorimer House Nursing Home, Ray, beloved wife of the late Calum Bolton. Will be sadly missed by her niece Kathryn and family, and all who knew her. Peacefully, on October 8, 2021, at the Elms Nursing Home. Marion, aunt of

Stewart and Avril, sister-in-law of Betty and great-aunt of Alice. Former Church of Scotland missionary in Tilda, India. Burial to take place on Wednesday, October 20, at 11 am, at Seafield Cemetery, followed by a Thanksgiving service at Holyrood Evangelical Church, at 12 noon. Donations can be made to The Elms and Delhi Bible Institute. Now with the Lord whom she served all her life.

Sadly passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at East Lothian Community Hospital, in his ninety fourth year. Beloved husband of the late Agnes, loving father of Pamela, Lorraine and Calum, dear father‐in‐law to Toby, David and Evelyn, grandfather to Laura‐ann and Elaine and great‐

grandfather to James and Charlie. A kind and wonderful man who will be greatly missed by all. A private funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 14.
