Tomorrow's match against the Wallabies will be Romain Poite’s final Test as an international referee. The Frenchman, who made his debut in 2006, will take charge of his 72nd Test match, and is third on the alltime list of international referee appearances behind Nigel Owens(100)andwaynebarnes (96).

World Rugby vice-chairman Bernard Laporte said: “On behalf of World Rugby I would like to express my gratitude to Romain Poite. To serve as a Test rugby referee for more than 15 years is not easy. He has always been dedicated to being the best he can be on the field, while being a committed and valued team player away from the match. I would like to wish him all the best.”

Poite, whowillcontinuetoofficiateatdomesticandeuropean level, hasn'talwaysbeenflavour of the month with Scotland. He was notably criticised by then captain Greig Laidlaw in an on-pitch interview after the Six Nations match with Ireland at Murrayfield in 2019.

Tomorrow's match will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video, which has secured the rights to all of Scotland’s matchesintheautumnnations Series.

The subscription video and on-demand streaming service got involved with international rugby last year when it broadcast matches in the Autumn Nations Cup.

It is now a big player in the TV rights market and has made inroads into a number of other sports, notably tennis. It also shows 20 live football matches per season from the English Premier League. Their coverage is available as a standalone service or as part of Amazon’s Prime subscription.
