Musk gives staff ‘new Twitter’ deadline
Elon Musk has asked Twitter's employees to decide by tonight if they want to remain a part of the business.
He emailed employees to say they "will need to be extremely hardcore" to build "a breakthrough Twitter 2.0'' and that long hours at high intensity will be needed for success.
The billionaire, who completed the £37 billion takeover of Twitter last month, said it is a software and servers company at heart and will become much more engineering-driven, with employees who write" great code".
