Students look to shrug off late draw with capital derby win
Edinburgh University were on the wrong end of a late equaliser by Grange last weekend so captain Iain Mcfadden has the task of picking up his squad for today’s capital derby with Watsonians.
Mcfadden said: "It was very disappointingandfrustrating to have dropped to third [in the Premiership] after having been 26 seconds from going top of the league."
The Edinburgh students are two points off the lead but onlyawinatpeffermillagainst Watsonianswillmaintainthat status.notaneasyassignment as Watsonians are fourth in the table but Mcfadden is taking a positive approach. "I believethatifwetrustourability as a squad we will create plenty of goalscoring opportunities and if we have pride in our defensive standards we can win the game," he said.
Thereshouldbelittlechange at the top of the women’s Premiership with champions Watsonians, Edinburgh University and Wildcats all favourite for the three points with some ease.
