Here, Gary Lineker introduces live coverage of their opening World Cup game against Group B rivals Iran at Doha’s Khalifa Internatio­nal Stadium. Despite their poor form, Gareth Southgate’s side will be optimistic about progressin­g to the knockout stage, while captain Harry Kane is looking to make history - he is chasing an 11th goal at major internatio­nal tournament­s. This evening, over on ITV, Wales’ long wait for a World Cup appearance comes to an end when they take on the USA at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.
