- By GORDON BROWN

Langholm trainer James Ewart is looking forward to saddling his three Brian Hughes-ridden runners on the Saltire Raceday card at Musselburgh today.

Hold Onto The Line is first into action in the opening every Race live on r ac ingtvhandi cap Chase and his handler said: “The track certainly suits him as he won twice over hurdles at Musselburgh in the spring. He has matured both mentally and physically over the summer and is ready for his chasing debut.”

Next up for Ewart is Fostered Phil in the Athelstaneford - Birthplace Of The Saltire Handicap Hurdle and he added: “We had to give him some time off after he won a maiden hurdle at Newcastle almost two years ago. It would be great to have a bit of luck with him over hurdles and maybe also in novice chases.”

The final Craig Farm runner of the afternoon is The Blame Game in the Saltire. Scot Handicap Hurdle and his trainer said: “He was disappointing at Bangor but during the summer we discovered he required wind surgery so hopefully that will begin to help him. He’s had one run in a chase but he is likely to keep to handicap hurdling for now.”

Meanwhile, mo ll yo llyswi she scan confirm her superiority over Martello Sky by winning the Racing TV Mares' Hurdle at Kempton.

The two have already met once this season and served up a real treat for Wetherby racegoers, going at it hammer and tongs after the final hurdle last month. It was Dan Skelton's Molly Ollys Wishes who came out on top by a length and a quarter, despite not having travelled as well to the second-last.

She was following up her success in the same race 12 months previously but went on to better that form when winning a Grade Two at Ascot in January.

In between those runs,Sk elton lethe rt akeont he boys in the As cot hurdle, but she proved no match for the likes of Buzz, so this seems a much more sensible option this time around.
