Dozens injured as earthquake hits Turkey
At least 68 people have been injured after a magnitude-5.9 earthquake hit north-western Turkey, causing damage to some buildings and sparking widespread panic.
The earthquake was centred in the town of Golkaya, induzceprovince,some125 miles east of Istanbul.
The quake struck at 4.08am local time and was felt in Istanbul and the capital Ankara. Dozens of aftershocks were reported, including one with a magnitude of 4.3.
At least 68 people were treated in hospitals for injuries.
