Russell makes late impact for Racing 92 after daughter’s birth
Finn Russell played the final 10 minutes for Racing 92 on his return to the French outfit and kicked two conversions and a penalty in the 46-12 Top 14 win over Clermont.
Russell, who spent the last two weeks on Scotland duty, where he impressed against New Zealand and Argentina, was named as a replacement after his partner Emma gave birth to daughter Charlie on Friday in Paris.
The 30-year-old standoff was this week heavily linked with a move to Gallagher Premiership outfit Bath, with his Racing 92 contract expiring in the summer.
