Plane crazy: Pair rescued after aircraft crashes into high-tension power lines
First responders work to rescue aircraft passengers after asmall plane crashed and became stuck in live power lines in the US state of Maryland.
Utility contractors had to disconnect the high-tension wires to make it safe for rescuers to stabilise the plane.
After several hours, the pair were rescued and taken to hospital after the incident in Gaithersburg, Montgomery County – about 24 miles north-west of Washington, DC – which caused widespread power outages in the surrounding area.
