Focusing on native Shetlanders, ‘incomers’ and the spectacular landscape, this documentary series takes a look at the archipelago, which is closer to the Arctic Circle than it is to London. The first episode begins on the tiny island of Noss with wardens Jen and Sally, the only residents, who live a truly off-grid existence, and have a front row seat to witness some of Shetland's most spectacular wildlife. On Shetland's mainland, the islands' eponymous hardy breed of pony takes centre stage as breeder Carole puts the newest addition to her stable through its paces before travelling to the Unst show.
Tomorrow, Channel 5, 9pm
