A 598kg Limousin cross from Carnieston, Insch, led the bull trade at 246.7p and £1475.

At the show and sale of Shetland and West Highland suckled calves, the overall championsh­ip went to a 380kg British Blue cross bullock from CA MacDonald, Goular, North Uist, which realised £1190.

On Tuesday, Texel shearling ram from Uppermill, Tarves, topped the trade at £550.

Store lambs (2431) averaged £73.93 and sold to £128 for Texels from Inchbruich, Cornhill, whilst breeding sheep soared to £265 for Texel gimmers from Dunscroft, Huntly.
