Grange that topped the trade at £1960 selling to Messrs Jarrett, Bristol.

Lead priced heifer was a 23-monthold Limousin cross from Adam and Dan Thompson, The Fawns which made £1620 and sold to Wayne Armstrong, Darlington.

One of the highlights of the sale was the 60 strong consignmen­t from Messrs Thornton, Cornhills which saw steers and heifers peak at £1800 to average £1532 throughout – up £111 per head on the year for 12 more cattle sold.

Lands Farm also had a great day selling 47 head to average £1401 up £124 per head on the year

Similarly Messrs Lee, Agars Hill, sold wellbred bullocks up to £1660 with heifers to £1580, with their run of 40 cattle averaging £1305 – up £111.
