BLONDE cross steers from P and PM Walker, Houselop Grange, secured the lead price of £2170 at Hexham and Northern Marts’ store cattle sale, Hexham.
Limousin cross heifers from the Moralee family from Hard Riding, made £1950.
On the sheep front, a small selection of ewe lambs topped at £127 for a Texel cross ewe with a single lamb from JT Dixon, High Hedleyhope.
Some 543 store hoggs achieved an average of £134.67 having sold to £201 for a pair of Cheviot Mules from FT Walton, Flotterton.
