Tramspread launch new durable, easyinstall slurry storage made in the UK

-

TRAMSPREAD, a company specialising in the management of slurry and digestate, has launched a new series of temporary slurry storage solutions. These storage tanks, designed for rapid installation, feature a steel construction with a robust landflex elvaloy liner, tailored for slurry storage needs.

Constructed in the UK by Butyl Products Ltd, the butek tank stores come in a variety of sizes, offering capacities of 280 m³, 500 m³, 800m³, 1100m³, and 1250m³. The steel used in these tanks is treated with magnelis, a zinc alloy coating that reportedly offers triple the longevity of traditional galvanised steel, and is further enhanced with a powder coating for a lasting, maintenancefree exterior. Available in a range of colours, though dark green remains the default choice, these tanks are backed by a ten year warranty, although exclusions for coastal areas exist, and are expected to outlast tanks made from galvanised steel.

The standard design of these tanks includes a single 6 inch through-the-wall filling/emptying port, with options to customise the number of ports, including 5 inch over-the-wall types. This flexibility facilitates the use of umbilical slurry application systems, enabling simultaneous slurry extraction and recirculation. Ease of

installation is a key feature of these tanks, eliminating the need for concrete base construction. A compacted earth base, topped with a geotech membrane and a surrounding ring of concrete slabs – all included with the tank – provides a solid foundation.

Tramspread also supplies comprehensive drawings and offers guidance on installation.

To address potential issues of odour and emissions, the tanks can be equipped with a choice of covers: a floating hexa-cover or a fixed cover option.
