After ‘girl’, why not ban the ‘S’ word?

BBC DJ David Lowe resigned after he played a record with the ‘N’ word. Now the BBC has banned ‘girl’ as sexist. Will ‘boy’ go too? What about ‘sexist’? It could conjure up all sorts of lurid connotations.

I am glad I have reached the tail end of my life if a person cannot say ‘girl’. In a few years, we will be afraid to express any opinions.
