QMY DAUGHTER has suddenly decided that she wants to learn to play polo – even though she has never ridden a horse. ATRAINING courses for those with no previous playing experience are run by Ascot Park Polo Club in Berkshire (polo.co.uk). It can also organise accommodation locally. The courses were set up by the late Peter Grace, who played polo with Prince Charles and whose four daughters have all played at international level. A two-hour introductory lesson costs £95.
