“I didn’t think mobile phones were for me – too many fiddly buttons and hard-to-read screens… But the Easy-Use Mobile Phone has given me the confidence to use one! It’s so easy!”

“If you don’t have the confidence or feel like you wouldn’t be able to use a mobile phone, fear not; the Easy-Use mobile phone is for you. My name is Mary and I’d like to share with you my story.

-

Mobile phones these days are like Enigma machines with their fiddly buttons and keys, icons and their fancy touchpads. I’m in my seventies and didn’t feel confident using new technology, so steered clear of them in the past.

That was until I had a fall while out shopping. I wanted to call my daughter to let her know what had happened, but I had no way of doing so. The kind lady who helped me up offered the use of her mobile phone, but I couldn’t remember the number! It was awful.

“If she can use it, anyone can!”

During my recovery, my friend showed me her new mobile phone. It wasn’t like all the other ones; this one was simple to understand. If she can use it, anyone can! So I thought I’d give it a go…

Even though my eyesight isn’t the best, I can still see the screen so clearly, and know which buttons I am pressing. They even speak to you when you press them, which is great when you can’t find your readers! All my family and friends’ numbers are just a few buttonclicks away, which is so handy if you can’t remember any phone numbers like me! I’ve even been texting my son who lives a three-hour drive away from me. It’s been fantastic to contact him so easily. I’ve now got to grips with the phone’s other features like its alarm clock, timer (great for cooking!), and its FM radio. There’s even a discrete ‘ SOS’ button on the back of the phone, which you can press in an emergency. It sends a message to my daughter’s phone to let her know that I need assistance. You can choose up to five numbers to send the message to, so I chose my daughter, my son, two of my friends and the doctor - just in case. I wish I’d had this phone a couple of weeks ago!

“Peace of mind wherever I go!”

With it being so light and small, it fits nicely into my bag or pocket, and the ringer is so loud, I can even hear it from my bag. £29.95* is such a low price to pay, especially when it gives me such peace of mind when I’ve got it with me – I can always be in contact with my family wherever I am. This phone has given me the confidence to embrace new technology – I know I need to take advantage of these wonderful things that can help improve my life and keep my independence – and this has been a great way to start.
