THREE Made In Chelsea stars have become embroiled in a ‘drugs’ scandal after fans spotted the group posing by what appears to be a table covered in drug paraphernalia.

At first glance, it seemed an innocent picture of Louise Thompson, 24, Jamie Laing, 25, and Alexandra Felstead, 24, posing during a night out in New York. But on a table in front of them was a rolled-up banknote and a line of white powder.

The picture was among several other images posted on Twitter last Friday as the trio enjoyed the Independence Day celebrations.

It has since been removed from the social networking site – but not before hundreds of fans had seen it and several taken to Twitter to point out its suspicious contents. One user tweeted: ‘Regret this when they wake up, rolled note and a dusty table.’ Another added: ‘Nice rolled up money and line.’

Then, late yesterday, lawyers acting for Louise’s brother Sam claimed that he had taken the picture and that it was his copyright. The lawyers then demanded that all copies of the picture be destroyed.

Last night, Louise said: ‘None of us were aware of any drug-taking at the party, never mind being involved. Had I had any knowledge that the photo had something in it which looked like drugs, I would obviously have never tweeted it.’

A spokesman for Alexandra added: ‘Alexandra had absolutely nothing to do with drug-taking.’

The Millfield-educated star, known as Binky, is the longest-serving cast member of the group, having been in the show since the start.

Jamie, who is a descendant of the McVitie’s digestive biscuit inventor, and Edinburgh graduate Louise joined the cast at the start of series two.

A spokesman for the Bafta-winning show would only say: ‘The image depicts three cast members from Made in Chelsea sitting on a sofa in New York.’

It is the latest in a line of scandals involving the series’ stars.
