Kate sells up – for £2.3m
KATE WINSLET has finally sold her home in West Sussex – pocketing a cool £350,000 profit in the process.
The Labor Day star bought the pretty 15th Century house near Midhurst for £1.95million in August 2012 but almost immediately upset locals by submitting plans to install a set of 7ft-high gates at its entrance to protect her privacy.
But after being refused permission, the mother of three – married to Richard Branson’s nephew Ned Rocknroll – upped sticks to a nearby town, and in March she put the Midhurst home on the market.
Now, according to documents filed with the Land Registry, the 38-year-old Hollywood actress, right, has finally found a buyer willing to pay the £2.3million asking price for the fourbedroom home. It was officially sold on July 3.
