Propaganda pooch faces pet food fate

HE was meant to be the SNP’s star purveyor of poochy propaganda, but it seems Duggy Dug, left, could end up as pet food after his owners failed to find him a good home. The plan was for the Newsnet Scotland internet blog to raise £15,000 to send free Duggy DVDs of the cartoon hound, voiced by actor Brian Cox, to homes across Scotland. But fundraising for the mutt who claims to tell ‘Nothing but the woof’ about independence has stalled at just £950 – so no mess through the letterbox, Dog hopes.
