JOHANNA KONTA

Ranked 18 Career prize money £1.27m Wimbledon record Won 0, Lost 4 1st rnd Monica Puig (Pue), ranked 43 Seeded 16th, she is the first British woman to be seeded at Wimbledon since Jo Durie in 1984. Konta has never won a singles match at the All-England club but reached the final at Eastbourne last week.

Ranked 229 Career prize money £198,000 Wimbledon record Won 0, Lost 2 1st rnd Alison van Uytvanck (Bel), ranked 132 Hong Kong-born player given a wild card despite exiting at the first round stage in her two previous outings at Wimbledon. Grass suits Moore’s game and she reached the quarter-finals at Nottingham.

Age 24 Born Guernsey. Ranked 50 Career prize money £1.48m Wimbledon record Won 5, Lost 6 1st rnd Annika Beck (Ger), ranked 44 A graduate of the famed Nick Bollettier­i tennis school, Watson was a junior US Open champion in 2009 and also the first British woman to win a WTA title since the 1980s.
