Dinner with Vogue – but love is off the menu
IT WAS one of the messiest showbiz divorces in recent memory, but were Ashley and Cheryl Cole secretly pals all along? Former TOWIE star Pascal Craymer, right, who dated the footballer after the 2010 break-up, says the couple remained good friends. ‘They were always speaking when I was with Ashley,’ she told me at the London Playboy Club’s 50th birthday party. ‘They’re good friends. I don’t believe the fallout was real.’ ROYAL photographer Hugo Burnand is already thinking Christmas – in the heat of summer. Hugo, who took the official photos at William and Kate’s wedding in 2011, is in demand. His aristo clients are piling into his studio to have their families snapped to send out as Yuletide greetings cards. Known for his Beatonesque shots, Hugo famously once sent out his own Christmas card of his young family, including his wife and himself, all lying naked. It makes Channel 4’s new Naked Attraction series seem late to the party. REPORTS that thespian Laurence Fox, 38, has found romance with Vogue Williams are wide of the mark – in fact, I can reveal a tale of heartbreak and unrequited love after hapless Laurence was rebuffed over dinner.
It transpires that when Laurence took the glamorous Irish TV presenter to the Wolseley in London’s Mayfair last week – he posted a snap on Instagram – he was determined to ask her to be his first girlfriend since divorcing Billie Piper in May. But he was shot down.
‘Laurence wants to be more than just friends with Vogue,’ says a pal. ‘She told him she wasn’t interested. She isn’t ready for a relationship.’
Vogue, 30, divorced Westlife singer Brian McFadden last year, but they remain close. Perhaps she still holds a torch for him?
