Teenage girl ‘raped at Pokemon party night’

POLICE are investigating after a teenager celebrating her A-level results was reportedly raped at a Pokemon party in a Kent nightclub.

The alleged attack took place in the early hours of Friday during the event, held to coincide with this summer’s ‘Pokemon GO’ mobile phone game craze. Organisers offered those attending the celebration at MooMoo nightclub in Tunbridge Wells the chance to ‘capture some of the 600 figures hidden around the venue, some of them with special prizes’. Police are scrutinising CCTV footage from the three-floor venue. The attacker is described as a white man with brown hair who was wearing dark jeans and a short-sleeved T-shirt.

A Kent Police spokesman said: ‘We are appealing for information after receiving a report of rape at MooMoo nightclub. It is said the incident occurred in the toilets of the club.’
