Are you a leading part-time worker worth rewarding?

-

PEOPLE who demonstrate that working part-time is no barrier to career success are being encouraged to nominate themselves for this year’s Power Part Time List, which celebrates 50 who ‘achieve the exceptional’ while working four days a week or fewer.

Karen Mattison and Emma Stewart, founders of Timewise Jobs, a recruitment firm specialising in part-time and flexible jobs, launched the list five years ago in response to perceived prejudice over working less than full-time. Former winners include Patrick Foley, group strategy director and chief economist at Lloyds Banking Group, and Thomasina Miers, co-founder of restaurant chain Wahaca.

Mattison said: ‘It is assumed that if you work part-time your ambition must be limited. Yet thousands of people are now doing so in exceptional jobs, making key scientific advances, building billion-pound businesses and changing the world.’

Nominations close on September 16. Visit timewise.co.uk/powerpart-time.
