Ban the violent Calais migrants from UK for ever

Having read your article on how would-be immigrants are causing crashes to make their rides from Calais to the UK easier, we must ensure that these people never reach our shores.

Northamptonshire The latest level of violence exhibited by the migrants in Calais should confirm to any doubters that these are not the sort of people we want in the UK.

These migrants will not end up being settled living next door to pro-immigration supporters such as Eddy Izzard or Peter Tatchell, who in no way reflect the views of the vast majority of the people of the UK. Gerry Doyle, Liverpool What does it take for politicians to tell migrants: ‘You can’t come to the UK.’ The sooner it’s done, the sooner the problem in Calais will improve. The UK is full, end of story. Refugees fleeing conflict should go to the first safe country then return when safe to do so. The UK is not their first safe country.

But the photo in your article showed a completely different story – a migrant wearing what looked like a branded pair of trainers and using a mobile phone. Who is kidding who here?
