Logs, stock and two smoking steaks...

-

AS A national treasure, David Beckham’s safety is of the utmost importance, so imagine my horror when he climbed into a fire pit last week! The former England star attended a Argentinianstyle barbecue, made by celebrity chef Francis Mallmann, at the Wiltshire estate of his best mate – Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels director Guy Ritchie.

Perhaps in search of a juicy steak, Beckham, right, took it upon himself to climb over the burning logs and into the pit – then pose for the camera. Luckily, even though he was wearing a flammablelooking gilet, he escaped unharmed. Phew! ANY hopes that Bronner Handwerger harboured of being reunited with Strictly star Daisy Lowe – who for 14 years he believed was his daughter – have been dashed. I bumped into an emotional Daisy at an event to launch the new Milk Tray advert, and she was adamant that she doesn’t want any contact with him, telling me: ‘He’s a horrible man.’ Daisy’s mother Pearl broke up with Bronner when Daisy was only one, after a ‘tempestuous relationship’. A paternity test later revealed that Daisy’s father is pop star Gavin Rossdale, a friend with whom Pearl enjoyed a one-night stand.
