Parents’ fear over hackers spying on kids

-

PARENTS are more worried about the threat of computer hackers spying on their children than they are about strangers in the street. Research by an online privacy firm found that one in eight British adults (12.5 per cent) say the threat of hackers accessing webcams is their biggest safety concern, as opposed to the ten per cent who fret about strangers approaching their children in the street. The survey of 2,000 parents found that despite their concerns, a quarter regularly leave their computer switched on when they are not using it, making them more vulnerable to webcam hackers.
