Mystery of missing mum deepens as 2 men sought

‘CCTV of them all in same spot’

THE mystery surrounding the ‘out of character’ disappearance of a mother has deepened after police released CCTV images of two men.

Officers began searching for Farrah Fadli, from Ayr, after she vanished on October 12 with her children – McKenzie Scullion, ten, and four-year-old Eva Kerr.

After an appeal, the 29-year-old reappeared two days later to drop her children off at a friend’s house in nearby Irvine – but concerns were raised when she vanished again. She has not been seen since.

A photograph of Miss Fadli, thought to be the last known sighting, shows the mother-of-two standing at a counter next to a purple charity collection box and a card machine. Yesterday, Police Scotland released images of two men they wish to trace – apparently pictured in the same spot.

One of the men, wearing a black top, appears to be standing in front of the same collection box and card machine. A purple carpet and grey vending machine are also visible in both photographs.

Despite the remarkable similarities, police last night refused to confirm if the investigations are linked. A spokesman for the Crown Office said it was also unable to say, for legal reasons, why the two men are being sought.

Officers warned that Craig Munro, 30, and 26-year-old Allan Robertson should not be approached.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: ‘Police are currently pursuing a number of lines of inquiry in relation to tracing these males. The public are advised not to approach these males but to contact police immediately on telephone number 101.’ Miss Fadli, who also goes by the name of Farrah Gillespie, is 5ft 4in, slim build, with dyed blonde hair.

She had never gone missing before and officers say her behaviour is ‘out of character’.

Inspector Jim Hendrie, who is leading the missing person investigation, said last week: ‘We remain concerned for her well-being.

‘It is extremely unusual for her to leave her children for such a long time and not be in touch with her family and friends. I would urge anyone who knows where she is to get in touch with police immediately.

‘If Farrah herself is seeing these appeals, I would ask her directly to get in touch with police. Your friends, family and children are desperate to have you back safe and well.’

Members of the public with information on Miss Fadli are asked to contact Ayr Police Office.
