HE is no stranger to an election stunt – and yesterday Willie Rennie was, somewhat bizarrely, recreating a famous scene from Chariots of Fire on a beach in St Andrews.
But the 1981 film about Scots runner Eric Liddell is a classic tale of victory against the odds, so it is not hard to see why it appealed to the Scottish Lib Dem leader.
