Freud’s joy as missing foxy found

I WAS thrilled to hear that a ten-day search for Matthew Freud’s beloved fox red labrador Vincent had a happy ending when he was found and returned by a good samaritan.

Matthew, pictured with Vincent, was devastated when he went missing during a walk in London’s Hyde Park on May 25.

The PR guru soon had his celebrity pals out searching and Fifi Geldof, daughter of his friend Sir Bob, was the No1 cheerleader – posting Missing posters and imploring her social media followers to spread the word that a £5,000 reward was on offer. Matthew, 53, is convinced the dog was targeted by dog-nappers.

‘He was almost certainly kidnapped from Hyde Park and then let go three miles away, presumably as social media began to bite,’ he told me.

‘I am indescribably happy.’
