HOW BACKLASH FROM VOTERS THINNED THE SNP RANKS
TWO years ago, 56 SNP MPs, above, lined up with Nicola Sturgeon in front of the Forth Bridge after a General Election landslide. The MoS has ‘ghosted out’ those 22 who are no longer MPs.
Some 20 were voted out while Michelle Thomson and Natalie McGarry were dropped by the party following separate police probes.
The SNP won Ms McGarry’s old seat with a new candidate, meaning their losses were 21 seats.
So only 35 Nationalist MPs will return to Westminster tomorrow.
