Is Pippa EVER coming home? 27,500 MILES £120,000 21 DAYS...

Now she jets to Sweden for friend’s wedding as epic honeymoon goes on ... and on

- By Nick Craven

IT’S already been an epic trip. And yesterday, Pippa Middleton’s marathon 21-day honeymoon continued when she and new husband James Matthews unexpectedly surfaced in Stockholm.

They strolled in the Swedish capital before attending the wedding of one of Pippa’s old friends.

The Scandinavian trip means the newlyweds have so far covered 27,500 miles on their grand tour and it has cost them £120,000 – 40 times the average British honeymoon of £3,000, but a snip for Pippa’s multi-millionaire husband.

Hedge-fund manager James, 41, has deep pockets and seems to have indulged his 33-year-old new bride’s every whim after their £1.2 million wedding on May 20.

The honeymoon began last month with a 5,000-mile flight from London to Los Angeles.

From there it was another 4,200 miles via Tahiti to the private French Polynesian atoll of Tetiaroa for a stay at the £5,000-a-night Brando resort (reportedly discounted from £8,000).

A 2,500-mile flight took them to New Zealand before a 1,300-mile ‘hop’ over to Sydney.

The couple were spotted in some of the city’s most exclusive restaurants, and hired a seaplane to see the sights. They even donned overalls to climb Sydney Harbour Bridge to see the sunset.

Further Aussie sojourns followed in Darwin (2,000 miles) and Perth (1,650 miles), where Pippa told reporters she was having a ‘wonderful time’ so far. At every turn, she seemed to be sporting a different designer outfit, with at least three different bikinis alone costing £600, on display.

The couple’s journey from Perth to Stockholm meant a flight of 8,500 miles to see Pippa’s pal, entrepreneur Jons Bartholdson, marry Anna Ridderstad. Jons has been a friend of Pippa’s for years and in 2015 they completed a gruelling 50-mile running and swimming endurance race together to celebrate her 32nd birthday.

There’s still one more stop on the itinerary before Pippa and James finally come in to land – a visit to the Glen Affric estate in Inverness-shire which is owned by the Matthews family.

It is believed the couple will fly the 900 miles from Stockholm to London to pick up a private jet for the 80-minute 450-mile hop to Inverness.

After returning to London, it will be back to Pippa’s daily grind of tennis, lunches and watching polo. And no doubt she’ll be keen to start planning her summer holidays…
