So who’s the daddy, Elizabeth?

VILLAIN-IN CHIEF George Warleggan looks as proud as punch as he cradles his newborn child… but it is a son and heir, or a daughter?

The only thing that could knock the smile off his face would be the realisation that he may be holding the offspring of his nemesis Ross Poldark.

His wife Elizabeth is keen to give the impression that her baby came a month early, to disguise the fact she and Poldark shared an illicit night of passion weeks before she married.

As the series starts, George, played by Jack Farthing, is the only person in Cornwall who doesn’t know there is a question mark over the child’s paternity.
