It’s not just Dad who looks the part in the movies, says Ewan’s girl

- By Lorraine Kelly

HER father is a Hollywood star, so when Clara McGregor modelled for a Chanel fashion shoot it made sense to do it at the movies.

The daughter of Trainspotting and Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor modelled Chanel dresses and jewellery for Coveteur magazine at the Metrograph Cinema in New York.

The Vogue ‘It-girl’ of 2017, whose mother is French production designer Eve Mavrakis, landed a contract last year with Wilhelmina Models, one of the world’s big three model agencies. But she disclosed that her long-term dream is to follow her father into movies. ‘I’ve always loved film,’ said the 21-year-old, who is still studying to be a professional photographer at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. ‘Growing up, my parents always showed me movies and I completely fell in love with it. I was also lucky enough to get on to the set of some films and see how it was made behind the camera, and it all became really fascinating to me. To me acting is my top priority.’
