HOW CRUCIAL ADVICE SHOWED FIRE HAZARD
THE combustible polyethylene (PE) panels cladding the 67-metre (220ft) Grenfell Tower should be used only up to 10 metres, according to ‘crucial’ advice shown in this graphic from US makers Arconic. Safer fireretardant (FR) panels can be used up to 30 metres – the height of a US fire ladder – beyond which only noncombustible ‘A2’ material should be used.
