Too raunchy for The Ritz!

-

A FEVERISHLY rampant first-time novel has proved far too raunchy for The Ritz. The famous hotel snapped up a request to host the launch party of a new trilogy of erotic novels tipped to rival the success of 50 Shades Of Grey. But when hotel bosses read the first story and realised just how risque it was, the event was hastily cancelled. Chloe Esposito, right, 33-year-old author of the books titled Mad, Bad And Dangerous To Know, tells me: ‘Six weeks before the party, we were asked to show them a copy. Next thing we knew the offer had been retracted. It may have had something to do with the final scene, in which the lead character and lover trash the Ritz’s Royal Suite, empty a suitcase of money all over the bed and then have sex in it before swapping each other’s vials of blood. We thought they’d be pleased such an important scene was set in their hotel.’ No such qualms for Hollywood bosses… the trilogy has been snapped up by film studio Universal.
