Call for sign language lessons

BRITISH Sign Language should be included in the National Curriculum, according to the National Deaf Children’s Society, which is marking Deaf Awareness Week by launching the Right To Sign campaign. New research by the charity shows that 97 per cent of young people questioned – both hearing and deaf – want to learn it, and 92 per cent would like it to be a GCSE option.
