Kim’s bra top hardly makes her a ‘star’

I enjoy reading Rachel Johnson’s column in The Mail on Sunday and agree with her comment about the questionable trend by women such as Kim Kardashian (left) and Bella Hadid of wearing bras as tops. However, I do question her calling them ‘stars’! Sue Storey, Eastbourne

‘Be good girls and put some clothes on, please,’ begs Rachel Johnson of Kim Kardashian and Bella Hadid. Why would Kim Kardashian want to be a ‘good girl and put some clothes on’? Her fame – and hence, success – is based on the opposite. Kim’s leg-up came courtesy of a sex tape being leaked on to the internet, and since then she has showed off her life in all its vulgarity on reality shows. She never tires of displaying as much of her increasingly ample body as she can, and it seems to make her more and more popular. What is her example showing the youngsters of today? That anything goes and the more you can shock and gain attention, the more money you can make. I really despair at the age we are living in. J. Benn, London
