Coleen’s furious call to Rooney brunette: Tell me the truth!

Drink-drive scandal woman reveals she’s spoken to star’s wife

FURIOUS Coleen Rooney called the brunette at the centre of husband Wayne’s drink-drive scandal yesterday to demand to know the truth about what happened between them, it was reported last night.

Laura Simpson, 29, claimed Rooney’s pregnant wife questioned her during a ‘tense’ five-minute conversation about what went on during her now notorious booze binge with the ex-England captain.

Recalling the ‘difficult’ phone call, Ms Simpson, a single mother of a young child, said: ‘She seemed unhappy with the fact that we had left the nightclub together to go to my car. She did say both of us were at fault for getting in the taxi and that we shouldn’t have done that.’

The lettings manager, from Irlam, Greater Manchester, said Coleen, 31, who is pregnant with the couple’s fourth child, was polite but also quizzed her on claims Rooney had admired her breasts before kissing her.

Ms Simpson, who claimed she told the truth over the incident, told the Sun on Sunday: ‘I apologised to her and she said, “You have nothing to say sorry for.”’

Rooney was reportedly three times over the drink-drive limit when he was pulled over by police while driving Ms Simpson’s black VW Beetle in the early hours of Friday because it had a broken tail light.

Ms Simpson, 29, made it clear the former England captain’s intentions in taking the wheel of her car after a ten-hour drinking session were not entirely honourable. With Coleen in Spain with their three children, Rooney, 31, downed vodka and prosecco with friends at several Cheshire nightspots. By 2am, Ms Simpson said she reckoned he was ‘up for it’. And so, she admitted, was she. But she said the intervention of police officers who breathalysed Rooney ‘spoilt the night’.

Yesterday, the £130,000-a-week Everton star reportedly had a showdown with his ‘livid’ wife, who cut short her Majorca break to confront him. The Sunday Mirror said Coleen confronted Rooney, screaming at him in tears: ‘How could you do this to me while I’m pregnant?’

Only two weeks ago, Coleen said on Twitter she was ‘so happy’ to announce her pregnancy. She spent 12 hours at their £6million Cheshire house yesterday, before reportedly driving away with her mother Colette. An unapologetic Ms Simpson yesterday said she received abuse on social media and a texted threat, which she claimed came from a friend of Rooney. On Twitter, she hinted she wanted a career in reality TV by retweeting a suggestion that she go on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Ms Simpson has told how Rooney ogled her breasts and sent a message via a friend that they should ‘go on somewhere’ after the drinking session. The party girl told Mail Online that she would have slept with the multi-millionaire footballer. ‘Was I going to spend the night with him? Yes, perhaps, but we hadn’t really discussed it. That was clearly his intention – why else would we be driving off together? I was up for it and so was he until he got arrested for drink-driving. It spoilt the night!’

Ms Simpson, who earns £40,000 a year, added: ‘I’m dreading going into work on Monday – they’ll all be talking about me and Wayne! But nothing really happened – just a kiss and squeeze.’

Ms Simpson caught Rooney’s eye as he was out partying on Thursday at a bar in Wilmslow, Cheshire, not far from his home in Prestbury. She said he ogled her breasts, saying: ‘What size are they? Are they real? I’d like to get my hands on them.’ She added: ‘I laughed. He was being flirty and I didn’t tell him my boobs are fake!’

Ms Simpson boasts of having 32E breasts, and her social media accounts are littered with revealing selfies. It has also emerged that she is a member of ‘sugar daddy’ website Seeking Arrangement, asking for a suitor to pay her £6,000 a month to fund a ‘luxury lifestyle’.

She was unrepentant about the night out, adding: ‘I did nothing wrong. I’m single and having fun. We were just having a bit of banter. I was swept away with the moment but I wasn’t awestruck, he’s just a normal fella I’m having a laugh with. I’m not a marriage-wrecker.

‘We had a kiss, a hug and some banter, harmless fun. When the bar was closing one of Wayne’s pals came up to me and said, “Wayne likes the look of you and wants to go somewhere with you.”

‘I said, “Yeah, OK.” I thought, “Why not, he’s not a bad-looking guy and he’s funny.” I was told to meet him outside in a taxi. It was about 1.15am. We arranged for the cab to drop us off at my friend’s house where I had left my car.

She said: ‘We decided to drive off into the night – we had no idea where we were going. I was very drunk and Wayne said, “Do you want me to drive?” and I said, “Yes, I can’t. I’m too p **** d!”

‘He’d been drinking but didn’t seem that drunk and took control.’

Ten minutes into the journey, Rooney was stopped by police, breathalysed and arrested.

A spokesman for the footballer declined to comment.
