Ukip chief has cheated on two Russian wives
...and new love’s ex warns: She’ll destroy you
UKIP leader Henry Bolton was last night exposed as a serial love cheat by the second of his three wives.
‘He was cheating on me, too’, said Lidia Gouniakova, a Russian hairdresser he married in 2002. She claims Mr Bolton, 54, ditched her after starting an affair with his current wife, Tatiana Smurova, who is also Russian.
Speaking exclusively to The Mail on Sunday from her home in St Petersburg, Ms Gouniakova, 44, said: ‘Henry was seeing Tatiana while we were married and their affair broke our family – he was cheating on me.
‘Still, I feel sorry for Tatiana – I wouldn’t wish an affair on my worst enemy.’
Referring to revelations that Mr Bolton has left Ms Smurova for blonde model Jo Marney, 25, Ms Gourniakova added: ‘I can understand why Jo is head over heels with him. Henry is an extraordinary personality – he is a capable and social man. Until the affair, Henry was an attentive, caring, ideal husband. Many great people have complicated characters.’
Following the break-up of his first marriage to Dane Karin Dohn, with whom he had a daughter, Mr Bolton married Ms Gouniakova in 2002. He married Ms Smurova in 2011 and the couple have two children. Last night a former lover of Ms Marney urged Mr Bolton to ‘dump’ her.
Nigel Mogg, 51, lead singer for LA-based band The Brutalists, said: ‘Jo has always had a thing for older men and celebrities. She’s a loose cannon and has always wanted to be famous. I’d urge him to dump her before she destroys his life.’
He said Ms Marney contacted him on Facebook when she was just 17 – and their relationship became sexual when he came to the UK. He added: ‘She looked very young so I made her show me her ID. She was 18. I didn’t want to get into trouble.’
Mr Mogg said the relationship ‘fizzled out’.
Mr Bolton last night admitted cheating on Ms Gouniakova, but denied it was with Ms Smurova.
