-

MANCHESTER City’s relentless pursuit of an historic Quadruple continued with a come-from-behind win against Burnley.

The Clarets held a half-time lead after Ashley Barnes opened the scoring but City turned the game on its head in the opening 15 minutes after the break as Sergio Aguero hit a two-minute brace.

Leroy Sane gave Pep Guardiola’s side a 3-1 lead with 19 minutes left before Bernardo Silva rounded the match off with eight minutes remaining.

‘I’m so happy to play against Burnley in this tough draw,’ said a thrilled Guardiola.

‘All we needed to do was focus and try to win the game and we did it in the second half.’

Newcastle showed their pedigree to see off League Two leaders Luton.

Goals from Ayoze Perez (2) and Jonjo Shelvey’s first effort since April in nine first-half minutes effectively killed the tie before Danny Hylton gave Luton hope of a comeback after half-time.

The Hatters hit the woodwork and saw a second goal disallowed but that was as good as it got for the visitors.

Chelsea were made to rue their missed chances and will host Norwich in a replay after a 0-0 draw at Carrow Road.

Huddersfield are in the fourth round after a 2-1 win at Bolton.

Quickfire secondhalf goals from Rajiv van La Parra and Danny Williams put the top-flight club in control before Derik Osende gave Bolton hope of an ultimately failed comeback.

Will Grigg and Emerson Hyndman’s own goal put the Latics in command before Lys Mousset gave the Cherries a way back into the match.

And up stepped Cook to secure a replay in the dying minutes.

Alan Pardew got his first win as West Brom boss with a 2-0 success at Exeter City.

Strikes from Salomon Rondon and Jay Rodriguez saw the Baggies through.
