Man held over notorious cat killing spree
POLICE may have trapped the ‘Croydon cat killer’ thought to have killed and maimed around 400 animals across London.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested in Northampton after the decapitated bodies of five pets were found in the area.
Their mutilated corpses were left for owners or the public to find between August and November last year.
Detectives have linked these deaths with the slaughter of hundreds of pets around the M25 over the past three years, all of which were killed in a similarly gruesome way.
The Metropolitan Police said it was ‘aware’ of the arrest and added that its investigation was ongoing.
