LIVINGSTON stepped up their pursuit of a play-off place with victory at Brechin.

Visiting captain Craig Halkett drilled home a penalty to give Livvy the lead on 12 minutes after Connor McLennan fouled Jackson Longridge in the box.

David Hopkin’s side poured forward throughout and Scott Robinson netted the killer second on 69 minutes. The midfielder latched on to a short back-pass to seal victory.

Hopkin said: ‘We knew that it would be difficult and I’m delighted to win.’
