McGeouch urged to remain in Leith
HIBS boss Neil Lennon last night told Dylan McGeouch if he pledges his future to the club he can develop into one of the finest midfielders in Scotland.
The 24-year-old’s current deal is up in the summer but Lennon has offered him a new threeand-a-half-year contract.
McGeouch is still to commit to that but Lennon urged him to stay, insisting Easter Road is the best place for him to reach his full potential.
He said: ‘The offer is not in writing yet, but it is verbally there.
‘The ball is firmly in Dylan’s court and he is taking a bit of time to think about things.
‘It’s his prerogative (to think things over) and he hasn’t said no. But I believe Hibs is the best place for him.
‘He is blossoming and we are seeing him mature into one of the best midfielders in the country.
‘I’ll be pushing him a little more as the weeks go on.’
