Dembele will choose next move wisely
SCOTT SINCLAIR has watched Moussa Dembele play beyond his years for Celtic — and expects the striker to apply the same maturity to his next big career decision.
Dembele has been the subject of intense speculation almost from the minute he joined the Scottish champions from Fulham for a knockdown development fee of £400,000 and, in the midst of another transfer window, is attracting interest from Brighton and others in the English Premier League.
His manager Brendan Rodgers spoke last week of all the ‘noise’ surrounding the player and admitted it could be unsettling.
Although the 21-year-old’s performances have not been wholly convincing this term, team-mate Sinclair has sensed nothing in his demeanour that suggests he is itching to move.
‘Moussa has stature,’ states Sinclair. ‘The stature of an older, experienced player. You definitely wouldn’t know he is so young, not through the way he plays or even his mannerisms.
‘He is just a relaxed guy. He comes into training, does his bit and is very chilled.
‘At some point he has to make a decision. Only he can decide when that moment comes round.
‘The thing about Moussa is he is just a great striker and the sort of teams showing interest is proof of how good he is.
‘He is big, he holds the ball up well and scores goals.’
