Deputy to Sturgeon leaves role
ANGUS Robertson resigned as deputy leader of the SNP yesterday.
The former MP for Moray lost his seat to Tory Douglas Ross last June but stayed on to play a role behind the scenes.
He has told Nicola Sturgeon he wants to leave to pursue ‘other career opportunities’.
The First Minister said he should be ‘very proud’ of his part in the SNP’s successes at Holyrood and Westminster.
