Jose hits out at his Theatre of Dreams
JOSE MOURINHO criticised the Old Trafford atmosphere after Alexis Sanchez scored his first goal for Manchester United in a comfortable win over Huddersfield.
Sanchez netted on the rebound after his penalty was saved by Jonas Lossi to double an advantage provided by Romelu Lukaku.
Talking of his new signing, Mourinho said: ‘He played only three (matches) and the first at Old Trafford, and I think Old Trafford, in spite of being a quiet stadium, the pitch is big, the grass is nice and the players are comfortable playing here.
Asked to explain his comments, Mourinho said: ‘It’s not Portsmouth. I remember Portsmouth — such a small stadium, the atmosphere was absolutely incredible. In here, the atmosphere is a bit quiet and there is not very (much enthusiasm). But the players like to play at home.’
