Cuckoo’s Nest director dies
TRIBUTES were paid last night to Milos Forman, the Oscar-winning director of One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, following his death aged 86.
The Czech-born filmmaker, who died on Friday, was best known for the 1975 film, starring Jack Nicholson, and Amadeus, about composer Mozart.
Cuckoo’s Nest, which starred Nicholson as a patient in a mental institution, won five Oscars, including best picture, director and actor. It took $100million at the box office.
Actor Antonio Banderas tweeted: ‘Master in the portrayal of the human condition. RIP.’
